Solar Eclipse this evening

Just a reminder that the annular solar eclipse will be happening this evening. I think it starts around 5:30 but peaks closer to 6:30 pm.

Don't look directly at the sun as it can cause damage to your eyes. I can't wait to see Red Rabbit's photos of it!

We drove out to Wupatki national monument to watch it.. it was pretty awesome, got to see the total eclipse and the ring of fire even though that only seem to last a minute or two.

I took this picture as the moon was passing away from the sun. You could look right at it because it was filtered very heavily by the smoke drifting across the horizon from the Sunflower fire.

Joined a couple of other landscape photographers at a prime location to get the eclipse with an arch. We did not have any solar filters, so the images were with fuzzy suns. It was fun, but no earth shattering results.
