sjvcon Report post Posted June 19, 2012 The first and last one's are the best ... and they hit the nail on the head. One of the biggest problems our country faces today is "career politicians" and their courtship with lobbyists. Can someone tell me why the heck foreign governments should have the right to lobby for laws favorable to them??? The time is long past for sweeping changes in how our elected officials conduct themselves. It is up to us to hold them to the standards our Founding Fathers set. Jimmyc Report post Posted June 20, 2012 At the end of the day, it's all about the benjamins! The lobbyisets and huge corporations contribute soooooooooooooooo much money into these campaigns, the politicians are their puppets and will do what ever the corporations ask of them. No matter how detrimental to the American people. It's pretty darn sad.
DesertBull Report post Posted June 20, 2012 Unions are just as bad as the Corporations.
Alpinebullwinkle Report post Posted July 10, 2012 Have to agree. From my work experience unions are far more greedy than the corporations that seem to be getting beat up so bad by the current administration and their left wing supporters! Unions put many copper mining companies out of business in the early 1980's due to their greed when the economy was down. Amazingly the car company unions did not learn from their predecessors. Due to what I experienced in the mining industry unfortunately I predicted the demise of the auto industry almost 10 years ago. Too bad I wasn't wrong in my prediction!
