firstcoueswas80 Report post Posted May 13, 2012 That is a SUPER light, EXPENSIVE factory rifle.... But, I feel they need to introduce it in more than a .308.... As far a short actions go, the .308 has became basically obsolete in the past decade. Im not saying it wont get the job done but...
Couzer Report post Posted May 13, 2012 After looking a little more looks like they offer a 280AI, 30-06, and a 270. These are thier magnum cals. I have thier 257 Roberts Montana and love it. http://www.kimberamerica.com/rifles/model-84l/mountain-ascent

yumabowhunter Report post Posted May 14, 2012 Looks like a pretty sweet rifle to me. The lighter the better in my book.
Coach Report post Posted May 14, 2012 Nice rifle, poor bullet selection. If they offered in in .270 WSM and .300 WSM, it would be much better, IMO.
firstcoueswas80 Report post Posted May 14, 2012 Coach, You are correct, but a 270 or 300 wsm in a 4lb gun would kick like a mule on steroids! Plus, if they do indeed offer it in 280 AI, that would be a wicked rifle!
AverageJoe Report post Posted May 14, 2012 I would hate to shoot that gun a few practice sessions!
firstcoueswas80 Report post Posted May 14, 2012 I bet there will be allot of negative reviews as far as accuracy goes. Shooting light rifles takes very proper form and allot of people think that a 5 pound gun can be man handled like a 8 pound gun.
Chef Report post Posted May 15, 2012 If it shoots, it's worth it IMO. I would prefer the 280AI chambering.
