Coach Report post Posted May 7, 2012 My first thought was a fox but it looks too big for that. I've never seen a 'yote that red. It sure looks healthy. Is this spot close enough to houses that it might be a domestic dog?
Bucks N Bulls Report post Posted May 7, 2012 The tail looks coyote to me. There are coyotes that go through some crazy color phases. Here in Vail i have seen a number of black coyotes. And they are coyotes for sure.Never been in a position to get one.If that is a coyote that would be a very nice hide to harvest.

THOR Report post Posted May 7, 2012 I am gonna have to say a healthy Coyote with the winter coat still on and if your title on the the bottom right of your pic is correct, they have been taking out a lot of good bucks. cool pic for a conversation. On another note...maybe "they" have already dropped off some Wolves up there and not tell anyone. It would not surprise me one bit! ~Mark
Non-Typical Solutions Report post Posted May 7, 2012 I say something besides coyote, looks like its ears are flopped over and that would be a rare thing for a coyote......looks way too healthy for a coyote too.....the ears just don't look right.
