CRB Report post Posted June 7, 2006 well I went for another hike today I only found one shed it was just alittle guy and the sun already took its color it was still real smooth though but when I went to pick it up I caught a glare about a hundred yards aweay. when I got there to check it out I found a small jar with some very brittle paper in it I carefully opened it and moved the paper just enough to see that it was an old mining claim curious to see what the rest of it says but I am afraid to try and take it out of the jar i think it would fall apart any ideas? BASS Report post Posted June 7, 2006 Very cool find. Maybe just open it enough to find the claim number? Then track it that way to find out who's it was?
DEERSLAM Report post Posted June 8, 2006 I found a miners claim in Alaska on '03. It was in a glass jar with the lid nailed to a tree and the jar screwed into the lid. The name and year were very visable. My hunting partner really wanted it so I gave it to him. Don't no what he ever did with it.

azhuntnut Report post Posted June 10, 2006 About five years ago while elk hunting in the boonies I found a pair of womens high heels. Of course I looked for a bones, but couldn't find anything. I thought it was kind of weird. I have two seperate mining claims I have found that are in pretty good condition considering one is 65 years old.
