couesdiehard Report post Posted June 6, 2006 Just curious. My buddy applied online last night for 3 people for several species. Realized when he was done that during the entire process he was never asked for any of the 3 hunters hunting license numbers. He received confirmation of all the applications. When I applied for me, my wife and another buddy I had to enter everyone's hunting license number. The difference may be that me, my wife and my buddy that I applied for all have lifetime licenses. The buddy that applied last night and all his party have one-year hunting licenses. Seems like they have the yearly hunting licenses in the system by hunter ID number and DOB but they apparently don't have the lifetime licenses entered automatically. What have you guys noticed? couesdiehard Report post Posted June 6, 2006 Mystery solved. The three folks who did not have to fill in their license numbers had all bought hunting licenses online earlier this year. So apparently the licenses purchased online are in the big-game application database but the store-bought yearly licenses and the lifetime licenses are not currently on the draw database. Crazy huh? Redman Report post Posted June 7, 2006 The on-line process really does not ensure or match each person to their hunting license. All it does is check the first few number or letters of a license to ensure its a current hunting license. If you get a confirmation, then your application was accepted.....at least that was what I was told by the game and fish. I called the game and fish about this issue. When applying for the hunts for my son I, the website only asked once for my son's hunting license then not again for mine. The game and fish employee informed me the on-line process only looks at the first few numbers of the license, change every year. I was told that somebody just before me called and said they entered their fishing license and it was accepted, it sounds like this was a common issue. I was afraid the game and fish would think I was applying for junior hunts.. Redman

BowNut Report post Posted June 13, 2006 Iam going to look DUMB here but I bought a license for the spring hunt then not thinking applied for another when I put in for the fall hunt for deer. Went to Game and fish with both today and they said thanks for the donation! And to use my new # for everything else I put in for. Went back tonight to put in for all my other hunts and was asked for my # but now they must be jammed up because it will not let me finish I get a bunch of error messages. stanley Report post Posted June 13, 2006 I'm a perpetual procrastinator, and was hit with the realization over the weekend that I had not submitted my apps yet. Hustled and took care of it on Sunday, and didn't have any problems. I'm thinking there's going to be a few folks taking a road-trip to the G&F office today! Good luck! S. KGAINES Report post Posted June 14, 2006 I just seen that the online application process has been extended until june 14th, is this a quota issue or was there a server crash.
DesertBull Report post Posted June 14, 2006 What a freaking scam. We've had over a month to get the apps in, if you wait till the last minute, too freaking bad. I just know some last minute rhinestone cowboy with a pink Stetson and a pair of lavender Justin Ropers is going to pull my Kaibab Carp tag and my unit 1 Bull tag too!
