The Off Season

Recommended Posts

I haven't posted anything for quite a while. It's kind of the off season for me. The boys and I do a lot of fishing this time of year on the rivers around here. The San Francisco, Gila and Eagle Creek, all hold good catfish and some smallmouth bass. I just applied for the fall hunts so I'm starting to gear back up for yet another great hunting season. Anyway here are some photos of a few of our trips from the last month or so. By the way, in case any of you are wondering...we don't handfish!

Way to go Scott! I have made a few trips down the Verde River but my stringers didn't look near as good.

Scott,

Great pictures! I'm taking my 3 year old up to the White Mtns. (Crescent/Big Lake) for his first fishing trip/camping trip. I think I'm more excited about it than he is.

We are leaving tomorrow and coming back Friday. I'll give you a report on the fishing when we get back.

Howdy Scott,

Long time no speak......and thanks for the TERRIFIC post w/ pics! I can't believe you guys caught them monster cats outta that little bitty crick. Them are reservoir-size fish.

One question, tho. Is that grey I see in your beard, Scott?

Awesome stuff Scott! I grew-up in Kearny and we used to fish the Gila below San Carlos for the cats, but I haven't given it a go in many years. Brings back some great memories.....

Didn't know that little creek held big smallies anymore. After the limits were lifted and everyone and their dog filled up an ice chest every weekend with beer for the trip in and fish for the trip out, I figured the good fishin' would only be referred to as the good 'ol days. Haven't been fishing there in a few years. Looks like you found a good one. Nice.
