elkhutnaz Report post Posted April 24, 2012 Well my son had drawn a 6a tag so we headed out after school friday, AIMS testing kept us in town, we got loaded and on the road at 330pm leaving our home in Peoria, after a couple hour drive we set a quick camp hoping to get out by dark and roost a bird for the next morning. We had a few before it was going to be time to go to roost so I told TJ to gear up and let's go, we drove the ranger up the road to our honey hole and parked, after a short walk(like 200 yards) I hit a box call and got a answer, we dropped at the next tree and called a gain, He was on top of us, 80 yards out he blew up and struted all the way into 20 yards where TJ layed the smack down, Done!!! way too quick back to camp in less than 45 minutes...Andy
