Kilimanjaro Report post Posted June 1, 2006 Welp, it has come to that time in my life.. the bachelor in me has held on for as long as he could. I got away with putting it off for 9 yrs so far and I couldn't do it any longer!! I'm taking off in the morn to drive back to TX and getting married. The wedding has been in the works since Sept of last year..I'm scared outta my mind! But on the other hand, it should be a blast as well.. We have over 300 people coming to this shindig. Her Grandad helped build the church and her parents were married in it as well so we'll have the honor of keeping the tradition alive in her family.. But I guess it had to happen if I ever wanted the honeymoon to come along!! We are leaving on it on the 28th of June!!!! I cannot wait till that day rolls around.. Africa bound for 2 weeks and 21 days off from work! Anyways, wish me luck.. Hopefully, this is the first AND last wedding I ever have to be the groom in!! We'll let ya know how it went on Mon evening when I get back here to Tucson..

Rembrant Report post Posted June 1, 2006 Scottyboy, Hopefully that tradition you will be keeping alive in your family is the one where people allow God to be the senior partner in the marraige. I'm thinking this because Grandpa built the church. And I think you misspelled a word: It's not horror, it's honor. Mutual submission under His headship baby! And the selfishness of divorce will never curse you. You are making a good move. I wish you the best. God bless you and your wfe and your life together, Mike
