Recommended Posts

We have seen turkey out on the rd to Black canyon lake that comes out in Heber (300rd I think). Is sitting and calling the only way to bag one.

Thanks

probably need to locate em' first.

try a crow call or a coyote howl just before first light and listen for the gobblers. Try not to do this while scouting cause they are smart and they will figure out it ain't real and will vacate the area.

Once you locate try to sneak into them as close as possible without being detected. If you can find where they are roosting get in well before light and wait for them to fly down and try some soft calling once they fly down.

I'm not an expert but just some expert tips passed on to me.
