missedagain Report post Posted April 17, 2012 I once new a guy that had a similar problem, he would dig a small hole put a piece of chicken liver in it and put a leg hold trap 12" in front of the hole, in the morning he would finish it with a .22 subsonic out of a bolt action rifle was about as loud as a hand clap. Dan H Report post Posted April 17, 2012 BUY A CHICKEN OR A GOAT. SHOOT THE COYOTE! PREFERRABLY WITH A RIFLE OVER SHOTGUN AND THEN CALL YOUR LOCAL SHERIFFS OFFICE STATING YOU DISCHARGED A ROUND PROTECTING LIVESTOCK. THEY WILL NOTIFY ANY OFFICERS IN THE AREA IN CASE SOMEONE CALLS IT IN AND ITS DONE.
KaibabHunter Report post Posted April 18, 2012 The coyotes aren't necessarily a problem for me but they are walking distance away. I just got an e caller and am brand new to predator hunting. Was hoping for the convenience of getting thru the learning curve, and an excuse to take my boys out more often, within a couple miles from home rather than 60+. Gas $ matters these days.
