hawkeye Report post Posted April 6, 2012 It sure was nice when the AZGFD changed the draw to March a few years ago. I could find out if I got drawn before applying in New Mexico. Well it was nice for a little while. We should have known that they would screw it up eventually. They can't even figure out a simple process. They make any simple process into a major screw up. I can't beleive they don't hit the credit cards when they recieve them. Most States do. If interest rates were higher I can almost guarantee they would. But until interest rates go up, so they can make money on the money being held things will be screwed up. All I know is its a helll of a lot better than when they all used to be combined and the antelope results came out weeks before the first hunt was. I saw, if youre not happy, or are super upset like you seem to be then the answer is simple. Dont give the Game and Fish your money. Apply to a state, who has it figured out or buy land owner tags. IS IT BECAUSE YOU DIDN'T RECEIVE RESULTS TO YOUR CONVENIENCE. NOWHERE IN THE REGS DOES IT SAY RESULTS WILL BE POSTED IN MARCH!! IT SAYS RESULTS BY APRIL 20TH. No matter how many times you have tested something before hand, or how well it works for other agencies there will be road bumps for the first time or two. I've seen it time and time again at my work. Plan for as long as you can, try to hit every problem before it starts, and then the curtain goes up and it all goes to shoot. This draw just had some issues....but its like christmas for my family...all of us love these times of year that the draw comes out. rthrbhntng Report post Posted April 7, 2012 The credit card issue is that the State of Arizona has a law that you can not charge a credit card for something that you can't deliver within 30 days. G&F can charge the app fee but since you don't get your tag for over 30 days they can't charge your CC for the tag until you are drawn. It is an Arizona law. Other States don't have the same law so some of them can charge your card with your permission then credit you if you don't get drawn. it is not about interest profit.
