muskrat Report post Posted April 2, 2012 Guys, I'm not a purist like many of you are. I'm not well-versed in either over the counter loads or handloads. Understanding that compromising always has potential down sides - is there a single bullet/load that would be effective (not "ideal") for elk/deer/antelope/bear? Again, I understand that ideally, there is a bullet/load combination that is probably better suited for each species. I just simply don't spend that much time hunting or at the range. firstcoueswas80 Report post Posted April 2, 2012 130 or 140 TTSX/TSX (Im not sure if they load in both weights or not) or the 140 Accubond, but I would opt for the TTSX/TSX route first.
Siwash Report post Posted April 2, 2012 140 grain Accubond. If you handload try it over H4831sc.

azcoueshuntr Report post Posted April 19, 2012 This past spring i reloaded some 165 gr matrix with 66 gr ram hunter cci br2 primers and norma brass. at 100 yards .4 inches and at 200 yards .9 then at 300 1.5. muzzle velocity is around 2850 not sure how these perform on game type situation but on paper they look really good.
