Fishing Roosevelt

Recommended Posts

Spent 7 days on Rosy and had a great time making more memories. My Dad & I fished from tuesday thru friday with not much luck but enough to keep it interesting. Dad had to go home to take his honey dancing and my wife drove up friday night with our two dogs missy & Lexie. Saturday was our best day and like always Peg out fished me with the biggest of the trip, a smallmouth just under 3lbs. Fishing was still tuff but we managed to boat 6 and lost several others at the boat. Peg caught 4 and I only boated 2. Back on the water sunday with only three put in the livewell. Here are some pics of the trip

Bald eagle taking in the warmth of the rock. We actually thought something was wrong with it. It let boaters drive by and stayed there 4hrs. I was going to call azgfd if it had been there the next day. It was gone.

I haven't seen very many bobcats but I think this one was big. I actually thought it was a lion at first. Watched it hunt quail for 1/2 hour. It put on a pretty neat show. Wished I had my video camers. Yes, it was near windyhill. :)

Water temp was average 57deg and lots of big buffalo carp. I might start bowhunting these things. I did see another boat with two guys hunting them. :)
