I remember not too long ago when Lark and Wetmule and I used to have civil, level-headed, deep discussions (without insulting or degrading each other) about convicted poachers and liars who got rich from their dirty deeds. Those were the good 'ol days. Now, the forum visitors forsake a great trophy room photo thread for an argumentative one. It's now just too antagonistic and combative for me. .270 Report post Posted May 17, 2006 aw c'mon '06, you know it's funny. i got a nasty gram from the "boy" this morning. no need to reply to that bs. back to the ranch. i really do feel that a lot of the reason the folks that own land near the border and get it trashed on a regular basis don't get much press is because they are considered "ranchers" and ranchers are considered bad. at least by the left. some years back there was a fairly in depth article about the trials of some of the folks in this same area. one old woman said that she quit locking her house because they would just break the door down. she said she got used to not even getting up from the tv when a bunch of em came in and helped theirselves to the contents of the 'frigerator. purty sad. A majority of the people in this great country have taken the "Ignore it and it will go away" stance on too many things including border security. We ignored the terrorists, they got us, we've ignored the immigrants, they think they have us. What's the solution? I have not a clue but ignoring it will just make it worse. The deployment of troops on the border i think will help slow the flow of UDA's or force them to use more remote areas to pass through. Bottom line, a majority of Americans dont truly understand whats happening so they really dont care and will not hold their congressional reps accountable. Like '06 said, there's no need to do it over the public forum. I apoligized to those how read it and sent it to who it really needed to go to. That was the reason behind the PM.
