Chef Report post Posted March 25, 2012 Yesterday evening, before the AES banquet, Amanda called me asking if I needed any produce. She was at a market in AJ and she couldn't believe the prices and the quality of the vegetables. After a little talking back and forth, I knew I needed to visit this place, so here we are a day later! I gotta say, petty impressed and Amanda was spot on! Market is on E Apache Trail, just West of Meridian in Apache Junction. (East side Phx) They also have another location in Mesa. If you have some spare time, check em out. You won't be disappointed! firstcoueswas80 Report post Posted March 25, 2012 Wow.... Very easy to see its not hunting season! Although 7 avocados for a dollar?! That's stupid cheap!
CouesWhitetail Report post Posted March 25, 2012 6 red peppers for $1!!! The prices are crazy cheap. Whenever I have to go to the valley, I see if I can't work in a trip to that little market to scoop up some great veggies at extremely cheap prices. I have started freezing a bunch of it. I love this place and it's worth a trip if you like fresh produce. AND they have some really good trail mixes and nuts that you can get for hunting/camping/hiking trips.
