mr.smith Report post Posted March 21, 2012 http://www.nps.gov/yell/parkmgmt/lawsandpolicies.htm Seems you don't even need a CCW to bring a firearm into federal lands. ie Parks and Refuges.
AzHunt Report post Posted March 22, 2012 I think one benefit of having a CCW is the idea that you have been "trained" to carry concealed. In any CCW class, you are instructed on shoot/don't shoot scenarios, as well as other pertinent information regarding concealed carry. If you are ever faced with a situation that requires the discharging of a firearm, I think it would be better to be in court with a card that says you have passed state requirements to carry concealed. I believe this was changed not to long ago. It used to be illegal. James

willhunt4coues Report post Posted March 22, 2012 i took the hunters safety course 16 years ago. Is there a way to order or print a copy of my completion certificate? Thats what I did. I took the class 22 years ago and heck have no idea where mine is so I just requested a new one and the nice lady sent me my duplicate. Just take a copy of it and make sure you get the application from DPS (call them they will send it to you). I requested everything last friday and already have everything in hand.
