willhunt4coues Report post Posted April 3, 2012 Not really, thats pretty spread out. Unlike with wing shooting, you want a small, condensed pattern. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Carlson-Dead-Coyote-Extended-Ported-Choke-Tube-for-Mossberg-835-12ga-NEW-/290691367131?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item43ae8e40db#ht_500wt_922 It says not for use with steel shot is the Remington a steel shot? So you say a 25 to 30" spread at 30 yards is not good? I am saying all the pellets are in a 25 to 30" circle and they are pretty condensed. How condensed of a pattern do I need? 10" at 30 yards? Thank you for all your help I am not a shotgun guy what so ever. LOL
firstcoueswas80 Report post Posted April 3, 2012 buckshot is lead shot, steel shot is what is used for duck/waterfowl hunting. 30" is good.... at say, 70 yards or so. Mine, is about 18" at 40 yards.

PERFECT you answered my question. Thanks. Do you have the Carlson Dead coyote on yours? If so can I still shoot 00 buck out of it?
