Friday’s Feature-Elk Hunting Pic from our Readers-Week 2

Elk Hunter Magazine Subscriber Don Goins Bull and his  6X6 bull elk that Don harvested in a limited entry hunt in the Book Cliffs unit of Utah. It took 16 points to get this permit. Don hunted 5 days and passed up 25 smaller bulls before shooting this one. He scored 344 1/8 inches and was 10 1/2 years old. Don sent in a tooth sample to Utah Department of Wildlife Resources to have it aged. It is my best bull of my hunting career. Congrats Don!

 

This next picture is from David Toyne.  He harvested this nice 6X6 bull with the help of Janis Putelis and Darr Colburn of Colburn and Scott Outfitters in Arizona.  This bull has real nice main beams.  Congrats to David on a great shot and on a fine bull!
