twigsnapper Report post Posted March 7, 2012 Does anyone have input on the older model 12x50 Vortex Razors Vs the new HD models. Older models can be had for less then half the price. Any input is appreciated.
westernhunter23 Report post Posted March 7, 2012 I had the new 10x50 2011 Vortex Razor HD Model. They were very impressive and compared to Swaro's side by side (Vortex's sweetspot was not as big and had come CA on the edges). I have not looked through the old ones. It appears Vortex redesigned the Razor Models again for 2012. I don't think you can go wrong with either although if you want the better of the two save the cash for the new 2012's HD's and I am sure you will not be dissapointed. The website says they are even better than the 2011 model. Good luck

I have had them out on my display table a few times at the 3-d shoots I attend but they would still carry the full VORTEX warranty, etc. Give me a call if you want to maybe come take a look at them.
