Arizona Wildlife Federation Statement on HB2072

Thought you all would appreciate seeing this statement that the AZ Wildlife Federation just put out. They raise many of the conerns that a lot of us share about this bill.

It's 5 to 0 in favor of non-support... all the silent ones don't count.

 

We get more non-support than support from the orgs... AZSFWC will not qualify for the tags a written in the legislation if it goes through.

Guess I won't be shopping there anymore. too bad, I prefer them over Bass Pro.

No, I was just talking about the strong wording of their displeasure with all that is going on. Withdrawing from SFW would be icing on the cake.

AWF was never an affiliate of AZSFW. AWF was invited to affiliate but declined.

My guess is they dont know what is going down here. I am sure they would drop azsfw if they knew about this fiasco.

 

 

How can the ARIZONA bowhunters association, the ARIZONA chapters of SCI and the ARIZONA bighorn sheep society not know what is going in ARIZONA.

I'm pretty sure they have never been affiliated with AZSFW.

As a matter of fact, several years ago an AWF member gave me the heads up on AZSFW, their members, and their agenda.

Yes and they are still an org and it's 6 to 0 with 15 silent ones favoring non-support of 2072... whoever controls the majority...

 

A 6 to 0 deficit will be tough to overcome. I don't see alot of smarts happening but whatever...

AWF has never been affiliated with AZSFW. They probably saw something that we didn't or AZSFW didn't want them

Awesome letter by AWF and I saw many of my favorite businesses listed as sponsors of their organization. One of those organizations was PSE Archery, they are an Arizona company and I felt some Arizona pride when I saw they support an organization like AWF which seems to share my values. My first hunting bow was a PSE almost thirty years ago, great bow. I refuse to buy Hoyt archery products (a Utah company)since they advertise boondoggles with SFW and Don Peay.

 

I have one little problem with the AWF website though, I was surfing their website and had my eyes assaulted by that conservation license plate with AZSFWC listed above it. I would join as a AWF member tonight if the license plate were to be removed from their website, at least until there is a legit board or group directing how the license plate funds are being distributed. I am sure the license plate thing was an oversite by AWF, I also know it is kind of sticky because the license plate is kind of a golden goose, unfortunately the goose is being used improperly right now and needs to go back in the cage until we finish the cleanup.
