elkaholic Report post Posted February 13, 2012 my first trail cam left in the desert - it's still there- had 860 picks in 3 weeks - 1/2 of them at night - auto flash off- stupid me! lots of birds/wind blown branchs. a learning experience on how best to place a camera so animals do not disturb it - we found it upside down in wash and had only taken pics for 2 of the 3 weeks. hunted friday but they came in late - guess they winded us and spooked. Back out tomorrow - hope the rains hold off.

elkaholic Report post Posted February 14, 2012 got nothin against rain - in fact I hope it pours all day tomorrow - but I'll not be out chasin piggys in pourin rain ,as i havent located the den yet- this spot won't matter much if it rains - there will be pockets of water everywhere. so far it says 30% tomorrow 70 % tomorrow night - winds gustin to 20- not a real good time to be out lookin for piggys who'll be packed somewhere out of the weather ,best they can! not to mention if some of these areas get 1/4 inch rain in the mountains - those big ole burned out areas can cause some real floodin problems for the roads/washes
