Recommended Posts

Finally found the time to put some video clips together from my outings in Dec and Jan. Hope you guys enjoy it. Make sure it's set to HD before watching it

I liked the video, great compilation.

Is it possible to zoom in on a video clip, crop it and have a new video clip? I've been playing around with Windows Movie Maker and trying to learn all the features

Well done! One of the tips on filming I recently came across was try to make your scenes less than 10 seconds. Viewers have a hard time staying interested with longer scenes. I really liked the way you put it together. Good job!

Not sure about Movie Maker but I use Roxio Creator 2010 and it has a feature called "pan and Zoom" that you can do that with.Movie Maker might have something similar.

Thanks for the comments guys it's good to see some of you liked it.

gotcoues I've never used Windows Movie Maker so I don't know for sure if you can do it with that program. The only editing program I've used has been Adobe Premiere. There are several ways to accomplish what you are describing in Adobe one of them is the same as what Elkaddict said about Roxio. I would think you should be able to do it in Windows Movie Maker because I think its one of the more basic features in an editing program I just don't know exactly how to do it.

I just checked out Live Movie Maker and you can't do it with videos only stills(a lot of people unhappy with that). I got my editing program, Roxio Creator 2010, on ebay for pretty cheap. I think around $30. I like it, never used Adobe but I'm sure it's a good one. Could probably have a whole thread on what to use for filming and editing.
