elkwrestler Report post Posted February 9, 2012 Okay so we have three applicants, one with 16bp one with 18bp, and one with 22bp. My question is where would you apply for the best chance to kill really good bucks. We have hunted 19 a and b my whole life but with few permits and trespassing fees we are forced to go elsewhere. Any help would be great. Thank you all.

Red Rabbit Report post Posted February 9, 2012 The person with 22 BP should apply by himself for unit 10. Seems the only way to be drawn is being in the max point 20% pass. If he combines with the others, it will likely not happen and will be waiting several more years to hunt. I'm sure the ones with 16&18 will want their buddy to hunt antelope in 10. The others with 16&18BP might apply together. yotebuster Report post Posted February 10, 2012 Records are gonna get broke out of 19B in the next few years with only 5 tags per hunt this year and none last year.... I'm near square one after drawing an archery tag in 2010, but if I had a bunch of points I'd dump 'em there in a heartbeat.
BML Report post Posted February 10, 2012 Doug is right on about the hunter with 22bp. He should apply alone. I'd go with Terry in the 5's. I think yotebuster is right with 19B, but with the land access issues that's a tough one. If you can somehow secure access to some private land you have the chance at a giant out there.
