Is it brand new? If not, round count?

It's just under a year old. It's in great shape.

Ok. Do you know the round count? That would be the most important piece of info for me.

I don't keep track of rounds. But if I had to guess, I would say around a 1,000.

Thank you.

Hum...I guess a 1,000 rounds was too much. He must have been looking for a "Safe Queen".

I always find the round count question interesting. What's the point of asking how many rounds??? First of all, anyone can make up a number and you would be very hard pressed to tell by looking at a well kept gun how many rounds have gone through it. 2nd of all, modern handguns are designed to handle THOUSANDS of rounds before they even begin to wear out. (The match grade barrel on this XDm is rated at +30k rounds.) So unless someone has put 50k rounds through it, the chances are that it's going to work just fine. Even then, the parts that do eventually wear out are easily replaceable. ($150 bucks and about 30 seconds to replace the barrel.)

It seams to me that a more relevant question/concern would be how has it been maintained and what kind of shape is it in. The answer on this particular gun is: excellent.

Just my thoughts, but if someone is interested in your product shouldn't your answer with out prejudice? Would you buy a vehicle without knowing the mileage? Especially becausE you are asking a pretty penny for this xd.

Not much different from someone trying to lowball a well maintained vehicle, and when declined the response was "goodluck in this economy getting your asking price" as if asking price was too high. And they never even seen the vehicle. I'm just saying . . .

If the guy thinks his product worth it, then let him try getting whatever he wants for the thing and if someone bites great, if they don't then I'm sure he will adjust. No ones business unless their interested.

I think the point he was trying to make is this. I don't care if anyone buys this gun or not but I'm piping up and saying something on the matter. Some people on this site will always jump in when someone is selling a item and say I can buy that brand new for less then that or find something to say to down grade the sale of the item, but when those people have something to sale on this site it's worth every penny they are asking. And it always seems to be the same people. And everyone on the site will probably agree with me.

I totally understand wanting to know a round about figure on a round count. But if some can give a accurate round count on a weapon they are probably full of BS. I have two revolvers that used to be my grandpas. One is a old 38 spl with who knows how many rounds down the pipe. I also have a old old colt buntlines scout 22 revolver that was his that has so many rounds down the pipe that no one could count. And they both shoot fine and accurate.i know the wear parts are not the same.
