It"s time for sportsmen trise up in unity

Recommended Posts

Threats? I just wanna show him what a cool guy I am. I never worry about my age. It's just experience. But I digress, it is time to get your hump up fellers. This is gonna be a fight like no other. And the bad guys have a lot of money. A family I know in st johns had some t shirts made for a reunion and in spanish it said, we're not too big, but there are a lot of us. Remember, there are a lot of us. Lark.

Threatening??? None taken or given, thought we were just setting up a time and location for two adults to have a civil conversation. I would love to chat more but I have to go make my millions off of the average Joe Hunter.

I indicated opposition to bill only due to the second Gowan amendment. You didn't see the comments that I submitted explaining the reason for my opposition and the fact that YVRGC fully supports the bill with out that amendment.

As I understand it Gowan or Weiers will attempt a floor amendment that would do the samething.

Jerry Weiers was behind the amendment.

As I understood Weiers' comments before the House Military Affairs and Public Safety Committee this morning, Weiers and Gowan agreed to pull the amendment in exchange for Game & Fish complying with its intent. In other words, Game & Fish can no longer tell the public its opinion of matters pending before the legislature. At least that's my understanding.

Is that acceptable to everyone? And is it legal?

That is completely unacceptable to me. It seems like they are trying to force a "gag order" on G&F. If any proposed legislation that may have an effect on sportsman, or our wildlife, G&F should be able to inform us of its position/opinion on the subject. Its just another method of them trying to keep a hush on things and scurry it through legislature without resistance.

Gag order - that's exactly what it is.

Is it time we spoke with some more legislators?

i've got to ASK why this - why now - since all g&f commission meeting are on live video - i do not see how this is ever gonna work - people stand up and ask a question - it needs to be addressed and answered - how can the commission stand mute on issues that are related to future legislation!??

Am i wrong?
