WHALE Report post Posted February 4, 2012 it was a tough day for me. on the water at 7:30 fished till 11:30 before I lost first fish at boat. 12:00 to 1:00 landed 2 . fished between 45' and 5'. tried DS, jerks, jigs, spinnerbaits and sencos. jigs between 5' and 10' is all they would touch. Off water at 1:15. think I will give it another week before I head back down. I need some practice
Str8Shot Report post Posted February 4, 2012 this is still a good time of year if the water is a little choppy to get on those rocky points and fish craw style baits and tubes across the bottom and working various depths... Depending on which end you like, I have always done well this time of year (especially with this kind of weather) drop-shotting in 20 - 30 feet of water finding the edge of the trees and drop offs out at goose flats. Just the thought of this has me fixed on having to get up there real soon.
Snapshot Report post Posted February 5, 2012 I want to get up there as soon as the crappie start spawning. I don't have a boat, but can do well when the fish hit the coves.
