Pine Donkey Report post Posted January 30, 2012 I received this picture in an email. It said the moose got his antlers tangled in the wire before they were pulled up. While pulling them, the crew notices extra resistance and went to investigate. They lowered the live moose and he took off. Sounds a bit fishy to me, maybe some who work on utility lines can chime in.

CouesWhitetail Report post Posted January 30, 2012 Those wires can't be that strong can they????
stanley Report post Posted January 30, 2012 I think that they CAN be that strong. I think they're more like 'cables' as opposed to 'wires'..... They have to be very strong because of the distance between towers and such, I think. Funky picture, for sure! Internet legend maybe, as the chances have to be WAY long for this to actually happen. But who knows????? S.
cramerhunts Report post Posted January 30, 2012 I am not sure if this is the actual picture but it DID happen near the Pogo Mine outside of Delta Junction, Alaska a few years back but the bull ended up dying from breaking his neck. Heck of a large bull too, we had drill rigs working there so I can attest to it actually happening.
