What animal is this?

I found this skull the other day, and can not figure out what it is. Any ideas?

Maybe a coati? What unit did you find it in?

It is not a pelvic bone. You can clearly see the eye sockets, and the nasal passage. It is extremely light weight, and some of the small bones are hollow.

Im no expert, but I would bet it a bird of some kind!

I have a number of the javelina skulls and none of them look anything like this thing. It is flat on top and the nasal passage is way different than a javelina. I have compared it to pretty much every mammal, bird, and reptile i can think of that lives in the area and nothing looks like this thing.

That is a turkey back. What you think are eye sockets are the hip sockets for the legs.

I sent the pic to CSI and they told me that the fingers/prints in the pic are from a "person of interest" in a serial poaching cold case. :ph34r:
