Pine Donkey Report post Posted January 5, 2012 My son Garrett was invited by his girl friend Geneva to hunt on their family's Georgia plantation during the week between Christmas and New Years. On the evening of the 27th he took his first Eastern Whitetail, a nice doe. The morning of the 28th was crazy. Rut crazy bucks were chasing does everywhere. Soon his buck ran by, and he put it down with one well placed shot. Here is a picture of the buck all ready to make the flight back to Tucson then the drive to Stacy Tompkinson's taxidermy shop in St. David. Unfortunately, this was the last mature buck they saw and Geneva was not able to fill her tag. Now Garrett owes her big time! Garrett wants to thank Geneva, her mom Patricia and step dad Ruken for letting him tag along on this trip, and for always treating him so well.

Pine Donkey Report post Posted January 5, 2012 1325731180[/url]' post='287624']nice buck for sure. any hogs on that plantation? what about turkeys? They never had any hogs come into the stands. The place was thick with them in years past, but the manager has been working hard to bring the numbers down...guess it is working.
