first meteor shower of 2012 wednesday morning

There will be a meteor shower in the predawn hrs of Wednesday jan 4. One AZ site said there might be a peak tonight at 7 pm with another peak at 1 am.

Quadrantid meteor shower has a favorable showing in 2012 with a dual peak at 7PM Jan 3rd and a second peak possible at 1AM Jan 4th. The meteors are often visible for a week either side of the peak so watch for any streaks heading north to south coming out of the constellation Boötes.
