Thanks man, its my first real attempt at picking up elk sheds. . . . I think it helps if you pray.

Now if I could only get an archery tag in that unit sheesh. . . 8 years only one tag for elk!

Here is the other shed I found today. .. Check out the deer tracks running right over it LOL!

Heck of a set to find. Glad to hear I'm not the only one who takes off sprinting when I see horns. Not bad for just starting. Even that six point shed in the snow is a beauty. I think you should quit now and go out on top. It's only gonna get worse. If you want I'll pick up where you left off and let you know how dissappointed I was. Just Kidding. The more you get out the better your chances. Keep it up. Here's a picture of a set my brother picked up this morning. Not a great photo. it's from his phone, but better than nothing. He said the length really hides the mass. Pretty heavy. Not sure what he thinks it will score.

wow nice length!

I just heard story of a single antler found in unit 9 recently. . . it scored 268 all by itself! whats with that???? Some guy in Flag measured it, so maybe we can track it down. . . . some guy who is some guy named Dean's brother ha ha ha ha.

I'll try to get the whole story. . . .

Yeah I am hooked now dudes! I am going out again in the morning, boys and all. . . . my wife says I can't keep them in the kitchen over the cupboards. . . . ;)

Here's one out of area 10 from the October Rifle Mule deer hunt.

Didn't find the other one, but for everyone that can't BUST A MOVE on the Jonesing Shed Hunters, they're still out there throughout the year...

Nice Brownies so far!

Stinkin Forest service has all the dang roads closed up tight.

Munds, Schnebly, Rocky Park, all closed up. . . .I didn't bother checking north.

I got skunked today <_<

Wish me luck tomorrow . . .

headache,

the roads in unit 9 on the east side of 64 have been closed since last Tuesday, and it's driving me CRAZY. Good luck, and save us a few.

P.S. It has snowed about 5" since noon today.

I went out to Apache Maid/Stoneman Lake today BECAUSE IT WAS OPEN! ! !

I know there's a ton of elk out there somewhere. .. . . I see them all the time.

I saw a bunch of quads running around. . . didn't see any sheds though. . . .

Going out to another "secret place" tomorrow, ha ha ha ha

My kids are getting sick of the inside of my jeep. . . . 2 days full now.

Every time we get out to walk a bit, it starts howling and blowing snow all over us, it snowed four times today on us. . . .

I might have to call in Grandma to sit tomorrow <_<

Where can I check online to see if the roads are open??? Can I call somewhere?

Anyone know??

Try this link, it's got some updated info:PRIMARILY COCONINO NATIONAL FOREST

Scroll down to Road and Closure Information, It's usually updated just after a storm!

Good Luck & STAY SAFE! - THE WARMER WEATHER IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER!

Aren't you a bit young to be retired???? It is alright with us if you go to work so that there are still a couple of horns left this weekend..... :)

How can you go shed hunting?

You told me you had to finish your house....... <_<

Call me and let me know how the house is going. I think I can find a couple days to help.
