Siwash Report post Posted December 15, 2011 I'm not gonna weigh in on my favorite bow brand as I have owned and shot lots and think all of the major manufacturers make good products but as far as names go I think Darton's "Maverick" is a great bow name. I'm also partial to my old P.O.S. Hoyt bow-fishing rig, the "Enticer."
bowhuntaz1 Report post Posted December 15, 2011 I shoot the LX. I bought it new in 2002. I to scared to pick up a new bow; because I know I will like it and buy it, even though mine works just fine...

idgaf Report post Posted December 16, 2011 I bought the Matthews Monster and I love. It is not a user friendly forgiving bow. What it is is a lighting fast tool that has help me improved my hunting. I did not get the bow because of my abilities I got it because of its abilities. Since I purchased it in 2009 I have taken (in this order) bear, bobcat, turkey, Mule Deer (4x5), and an elk (6 point). All with my first pin from 10 yards (bobcat) to 45 yards (mule deer)
azpredator@work Report post Posted December 17, 2011 my bows the past 5 years: 1) Mathews Outback 2) Mathews Drenalin 3) Mathews DXT 4) Hoyt Maxxis 31 5) Hoyt Alphaburner 6) Bowtech Invasion 7) Hoyt Carbon element RKT 8) Mathews Helium I liked something different on each of these bows. Probably shot the alphaburner the best. Killed the most with the drenalin. Right now, I have the helium and element. I absolutely love the helium. Mathews finally made a winner again. Good luck finding your perfect bow. I know I never will!
Coach Report post Posted December 17, 2011 My first bow was an older PSE "garage sale" bow. It wasn't all that great, but I hear their newer bows are really good - never shot one. My first "good" bow was a Mathews Conquest Light - great bow for the time. Then I went to a Bowtech Allegiance - great bow. Last year I sold the Bowtech and bought a Hoyt CRX 35. Wow - I love this bow. The good news is, it's almost hard to find a bad bow these days. Mathews, Hoyt, PSE, Bowtech all make exceptional bows. Every time this topic comes up, it seems you hear the same mantra, shoot them all and decide which feels best for you. Still solid advice. Everything I've heard about the Mathews Heli-m is very positive. Seems they have finally come out with a bow that people like as much as the older Switchback. Personally, I love my Hoyt and wouldn't trade it for anything else on the market. But I know lots of guys who feel the same way about their Bowtech Destroyers.
