azhuntnut Report post Posted February 27, 2006 Seeing these pictures really gets me pumped. I am leaving on the 16th for a three day lion hunt on the San Carlos. I am going to try and glass one up or call it in with my Foxpro. Hopefully I will have some pics to post. David
daryl_s Report post Posted February 27, 2006 Casey- That has got to be the coolest hunting experience. Two lions in one day!!!! First glassing them up and then sneaking up on them!!! Incredible, congratulations.
DEERSLAM Report post Posted February 28, 2006 Casey, absolutely awesome hunt A pig and two, count'em, two lions and with grandpas rifle. Memories for a lifetime! Congrats.
SunDevil Report post Posted February 28, 2006 Congrats!!! That is great to hear that there are 2 less lions running around to eat the deer. No telling how many deer the two of them would have eaten in their lifetimes. Don't know what is wrong but the pics aren't coming up for me. I will have to check into from home. 105Coues Report post Posted February 28, 2006 Congrats!! Every puddy tat is an awesome one. You may want to consider the lifesize though, I was going to do a rug with my first cat and the taxidermist talked me into a lifesize. Its a lot of money but I could kiss him for the advice. firstcoueswas80 Report post Posted February 28, 2006 Congratulations on an awesome hunt, I don't see it working out any better for you, with your grandfather in your heart and his rifle in your hands. God Bless <{POST_SNAPBACK}> couldnt have said it better! i know he helped me! he was blowing the wind in my face instead of towards the cats! i will never forget stepping on the other side of the rocks and seeing that cat sitting there having no idea i was there! i wish i could get a life size! it is way too much and i have no where to put it! i really wish i could, it would be awesome!! it really meant a lot to me to shoot this lion with my grandpas gun... my dad shot his first deer and elk with the gun and now i have shot my first cat with it! i love the gun, and i would not sell it for the world! 25-06, im not a litle guy, that HUGE lion just makes me look small hahaha thank you all for the comments! it is a hunt i will never forget!
