singleshot Report post Posted December 5, 2011 This big tom came into a cottontail in distress at about the 10 minute mark. He got to the call before I could get him killed, but after he figured things out he came out running and I got a crack at him. He weighed exactly 18 pounds. trphyhntr Report post Posted December 6, 2011 what caliber and bullet weight did you shoot him with?
singleshot Report post Posted December 6, 2011 what caliber and bullet weight did you shoot him with? 22-250, 55 grain Hornady softpoint pushed by 32 grains of 2520. Surprisingly pin holes in and out through the shoulders in the hide but the internal damage was extreme.
