Red Rabbit Report post Posted December 2, 2011 I have noticed with my boots/shoes that one of the first places to fall apart is the stitching where outside layers are sewn together, especially near the flex points near the big and little toes. Thus, I prefer more of a one-piece leather upper with a rubber rand. Just a consideration for you.

BASS Report post Posted December 4, 2011 What the heck happened to Danner? My first pair of Pronghorns lasted for three years of hard use (one full year of every day wear also). Bought a black pair for work and loved the heck out of them for a year or so then they fell apart. Bought another and the same thing. I don't mind spending for quality, but I hate buying costly "cheap" things!
rcdinaz Report post Posted December 4, 2011 Agreed! Asolo are very comfortable I wear mine all the time even on the weekends. As you pointed out they run a little more narrow than others which has been good for me. I use Zamberlan's for packing a load as of this year and they have been very good. May try out Crispi next year. A pair of insoles form Lathrop will also make a huge difference for long hikes or packing in a load.
