BirdDog20 Report post Posted November 19, 2011 Styrofoam pad and a rock. But when there aren't rocks avl (or it's wet), we carry these in our packs. Lightweight and they don't take up much space. Add the styrofoam pad on top of the seat.
Elkaddict Report post Posted November 19, 2011 Primos double bull chair,Cabelas has them. Great chair for glassing. This isn't a chair you're going to carry too far! If you're away from the road (and I'm not talking road hunting, just saying there's a lot of glassing can be done from there) I would go with what Birddog said "pad and a rock"
BowNut Report post Posted November 19, 2011 I have about a 2" tree stand pad I got at bass pro. It was like $25 but works great. Don't really like to pack out a chair I just toss the pad on the ground or a rock.
elkaholic Report post Posted November 19, 2011 all kinds of cushions / foam seat etc theres several good one that wont break the bank at cabelas - i like on that has seat and back and i can fold back down to make extra thick seat - both laid flat is even a comfortable pad the catch a few zzz's if needed and stay off the cold groaund or rock stuff . psebowhunter Report post Posted November 20, 2011 If I am glassing from the truck, I use a milk crate with a boat cushion. If I am out on a trek and glassing from my pack, I usually just use a cactus, or a patch of thorns.

I like to use the heat seat from Walmart... Its a camo memory foam cushion you can clip on to your belt loop and walk with it hanging on your butt and its there when you sit down to glass and it only cost $3 its the round one they also have a flat one
