take an old electrical panel that is used to put breakers in cut a hole in the lid and lag bolt it to the tree from the inside then lock and chain the lid of the box. if anyone sees it they probally wont even want to spend the time to steal it

On my cameras I too try to get it out there a ways from everyone. Of course, I put one of them on a road that was closed to all motorvehicles, but I got a nice photo of a guy on a quad who decided it was just too far to walk. That wasn't the worse part, he cut a new trail across the area with a saw so he could get off the road. :P Lucky for me, he didn't see the camera, and lucky for him he had a face mask on, or that photo would have been handed over to the forest service. I also try to keep mine off of the trails by a few feet. It gives you better photos, getting the entire animal most of the time, instead of a huge eyeball. It also helps to keep it hidden. I had some other people walk around the water I had one sitting at, I got some photots of them but since my camera was far enough away I still have it. I use a bike lock too, it isn't going to keep those who want it bad from getting it, but it will keep the honest people honest.

Hey noworries, hopefully you purchased one of the cheaper 30mm models instead of the expensive digital model. Unfortunately, you just have to plan on getting your camera stolen, or else you'll never put it out. I havent had mine stolen yet, but my buddy and I put our cameras up in an area close to each other at the same time. All his got stolen.

Its chicken $hit, but that doesnt stop some people from taking them. Good luck, hopfully you get some good pics.
