second shot Report post Posted November 11, 2011 Being a vague as I can. The spot is in unit 33, over 3 miles up a trail. You were sitting just over the north side of a hill top, under a lone mesquite tree. You were watching the south facing side of a steep hill that is about 550 yards away at the top, 400 directly across from where you sat, and 900 at the bottom. The hill is grass/some oak at the top and mesquite at the bottom. The spent casing I found is a silver 257 weatherby magnum. The buck I've been watching is a basic 3x3 with a forked G-2 on the right side. He is probably 7 - 8 years old. I know it's a long shot, but if this sounds familiar at all I'd appreciate a pm. I see lots of bucks on this hillside but I've been trying to connect with this particular buck for the last few years and I'd like to know if I can move on. Thanks in advance.
