4Falls Report post Posted November 7, 2011 Sitting here watching the snow come down and just for fun thought I'd check my bonus points on the g&f website enter my birthdate and dept ID.... it tells me the ID is invalid. So I reenter, same thing. So I do it again, and again... same result.. So I call them on the phone and check my bonus point and everything is just like it should be got right in. So now Im worried. I have my receipts that showed I applied. All my info was already entered when I originally began the on-line app process. I checked it all but maybe there was a number out of place or something and I didnt catch it... oh no. Anyone else have similar issues? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

yotebuster Report post Posted November 8, 2011 I think they have a problem with the people with department ID's, all of my family's are ok, with their ss#'s, but mine shows that it's an invalid number using my department ID and my social.... not good... it still is correct on the phone.... mcelkhunter Report post Posted November 8, 2011 I checked my BP a couple of weeks ago and my elk and antelope points were correct but my deer were one short. I was thinking because I bought a left over tag I didn't get my bonus point I purchased in the draw. I was told that the left over purchase would not effect bonus points which I previously understood to be the case. I called G&F and they had the correct number of points in their system. ratherbehunting Report post Posted November 9, 2011 Credit card laws forbid vendors from charging for a product that hasn't been delivered or can be delivered. They have charged my card for the 7.50 point/app fee I believe and for the licenses (which I purchased for my family), but i don't think they can charge for a tag until you have actually drawn for it. Other states seem to have loopholes written in their online systems that you are actually applying for a license so perhaps they get away with it that way. Then again, remember AZGFD got sued by US Outfitters who were trying to secure tags for their "wealthy out of state clients" which caused the old system to come offline in the first place - so maybe they had to come up with a new way to fix it. couesdiehard Report post Posted November 9, 2011 ratherbehunting, I believe the actual reason they can't charge your cc before the draw are anti gambling laws which don't allow charges on cards for gambling/lotteries. Once your drawn they can charge you for the tag itself. I don't think the USO fiasco was the whole cause of the stoppage of the electronic application process here though. As I recall it more to do with the IT firm that was processing the drawing and the enormous amount of errors they made.
