deserthntr Report post Posted November 4, 2011 Atleast I think. Didn't have work yesterday so me and my buddy decided to do some Quail hunting after school. Ended up seeing a bunch of sheep by saguaro lake. One ram was huge I think. But I don't know sheep at all. Just what I have seen on the TV shows that I see guys shoot. So trying to compare I think this ram.is pretty big
deserthntr Report post Posted November 4, 2011 I'd love to take someone who has a tag after this ram if it is a sheep that is big. If I get to go on the hunt not saying I know his routes but I can be in the right spot and know how to glass. It won't let me upload the pic showing his mass from behind because the pic is too big. And idk how to resize it on my phone.

THOR Report post Posted November 4, 2011 that ram is nice, but he has a chance to be a great ram. Someone will probably shoot him but there are bigger rams in that unit with that same look to them. nice pics, thanks!
deserthntr Report post Posted November 4, 2011 this is only the second time i have seen sheep in the wild, and i know nothing about them but think they are real pretty
200"mulie Report post Posted November 4, 2011 both of them are good...but like others have stated i would pass
deserthntr Report post Posted November 5, 2011 So what makes him that. You would pass? Besides that he is young. To me he looks like the big ones they shoot on tv
BELLOTABUCKS Report post Posted November 10, 2011 tip of the horn barely reaches the eye from the side view, the horns will pass the eye and curl out, also the mass needs to come down the horn some more. nice ram. if you only ever get 1 tag you could do worse but he can get better
Ernesto C Report post Posted November 11, 2011 160 ??????????????????????
roninflag Report post Posted November 13, 2011 DESERTHNTR- plenty of hunters shoot sheep that are less than 160 . check the game and fish stats on their web sight. that is a nice ram. he may be in a unit that has 180's i guess. roninflag
THOR Report post Posted November 13, 2011 I would say the two rams are from the same genes. i think the bigger of the two is about 165...he is a beautiful ram and would be hard to pass up! there are bigger rams in that unit. keep looking! he is a great back-up ram... My ram went 167.... Mark
