Im going to borrow a pair of the Kaibabs this weekend just to be sure. I dont want to regret not buying Swaros I sold them last year and I miss them bad! I have looked at rhe viper HDs they are nice but my top two choices are the Swaro 15s and Kaibab 15s. Thank you for your reply and the heads up It is much appreciated. desertbowhunter Report post Posted November 3, 2011 Just did a side by side comparison out in the field of the swaros and kaibabs. I do not think you would regret getting the kaibabs over the swaros. I actually preferred the kaibabs when the comparison was done. Just fit me better and feel better up to my eyes. My .2 cents. Did you test them at dawn or dusk? That is the only thing I am worried about.Ive had 15x56 swaros before and I loved them I just about cryed when I sold them last year.I dont want to buy the Kaibabs and wish I had swaros.I dont have big amounts of cash burning a hole in my wallet very often so I just want to make the right choice with no regrets.I use my optics more then any other equipment that I own so the choice just has to be right. desertbowhunter Report post Posted November 3, 2011 I used them at dusk one day and later in the morning the next day. I did side by side comparison both times for about 30 min each. On a side note sportsmans has the swaros on sale for 1899 right now. Good price. Yeah pretty much everywhere you look they are are $1899 that will last until they are out of the 15x56 Neu. Swarovski is going to upgrade the lenses on the 15s then the price will go back up. Thank you for your replies they were helpful. I guess I just need to man up and make a decision. Oh what to do? wbyfireman Report post Posted November 3, 2011 I have the Kaibabs and can tell only a very SMALL difference between them and the Swaro's looking at around 1000yds. Also my eyes are norrow so the kaibabs fit me better than the swaro's. Exit pupil and interpupillary distance is larger in the kaibabs so I get much less fatigue over long periods of time, also the vortex warranty is AMAZING!!!!. second to NONE Just something to consider,,, overall both are really nice Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Ok so I tested the Kaibabs out on a long day of glassing for coues yesterday.Although they are very nice binoculars and worth there price tag. I would like to change my post to Wtb Swaro 15s Im not intrested in buying the Kaibab.I just felt like I wanted more and the only way to get that would be with the Swaros.Ive owned Swaro 15s before so I know what I was wanting. The brightness,edge of glass clearity and ability to pick up bedded animals in the shadows.I dont mean to offend anyone that owns the Kaibabs but in my eyes they just arent Swaros.
