newazhunter Report post Posted October 31, 2011 Hey All, Getting excited about my Unit 29 hunt this week. I have a scope question for ya'll. I have a Leupold Rifleman scope and when I increase the magnification, the hole gets smaller and I have trouble viewing my target. Any ideas how to fix this problem? I figure I will need be zoomed in pretty good to find the gray ghost. Thanks in advance for the advice.
rclouse79 Report post Posted October 31, 2011 Try moving the position of your eye relative to your scope.
Siwash Report post Posted October 31, 2011 As stated, you may need to adjust your eye relief at full magnification...just don't put your eye too close to the lens. Depending on your rifle's caliber/recoil you can hurt yourself pretty good if you don't give yourself 3" or so away from the ocular lens. Also, your field of view will always diminish as you zoom in, so leave your scope at a lower setting when you are trying to acquire your target and then zoom in once you have him in the crosshairs.
