Gary I Report post Posted October 28, 2011 Here is a couple of pics of the bucks my son and I got this week. Not the huge bucks we all dream of, but meat in the freezer. My son just recently got out of the army after doing his 5 years. He was excited to finally get to hunt again so when this little buck walked up the hill to us while we were glassing he decided it was big enough. He waited for it to run as fast as it could for 455 yards before nailing him. I passed on 6 bucks before my buck was jumped by some other hunters and I watched him run and hide in a small brushy draw. I figured he would head to the saddle at the top of the draw so I climbed the hill to head him off. It worked perfectly and we arrived in the saddle at the same time. He made the mistake of running across the open hillside and I got him before he could get back in the brush. I had to go back to work the next day so this buck worked out well. Both pack out jobs were long and steep and completely boning them out saved a lot of work.
