sherman Report post Posted October 26, 2011 I was out with my dad on his hunt and found a head with horns. He was well over 100" the g2 and g3 where broke off I found them both. I was wondering if it still could measured for a book? He should be noticed. Any help?

Elkaddict Report post Posted October 26, 2011 hope it worked Worked fine! Nice buck, don't know about measuring for the "book" but if you want it noticed, I will take it off your hands and notice it
billrquimby Report post Posted October 26, 2011 SCI, Boone & Crockett and the Arizona Wildlife Federation record books accept "picked up" entries if they exceed their minimum measurements. Bill Quimby

That is a cool looking buck!
Non-Typical Solutions Report post Posted October 27, 2011 Too bad that buck is out of the gene pool...nice find.
kpinaz Report post Posted October 27, 2011 since it is not a shed, can't you get into trouble for picking it up?
sherman Report post Posted October 29, 2011 dont no. I couldnt call gandf there is no cell service where i was. But over the last 4 years i have found three heads and 1 set of sheds that where laying a bout three feet apart that was about a 90 inch buck and count less single sheds all the singles looked to be just about 80 t0 90 inch bucks. But I dont no what the rule is about heads it is not like it was a freash kill. it looks to be from last year sometime.
pwrguy Report post Posted October 29, 2011 I can answer that for you. Yes you can get into trouble, I know someone involved in a current court case that picked up what was obviously an old kill. I suggest you don't post finds like that or, call the G&F and try to get permission to take possesion of your find. You might try to preempt what is possibly coming by calling them before they knock on your door. Great find by the way, no way I would just leave it there.;
