loco4coues Report post Posted October 25, 2011 Unit 22. Knew this buck was in here because he was running with the buck my little brother shot on the junior hunt. Looked for him all day Thursday and all day Friday with no luck. Finally found him on Saturday morning. My older brother took the shot. The buck was on the other side of a nasty steep canyon and heading over the top of the ridge he was on, it was about 8:00 am. There was no wind and the conditions were right. My brother laid prone and dialed up the range. 700 yards. Dropped the buck in his tracks with one shot. He went down hard. An hour later they finally made it over to the buck. He has some good character and good mass. He scores right at 102". Shot the buck at 8:00am and didn't get back to the quads until around 2:30pm. Congrats to my brother on another great coues buck!
