Avion Report post Posted February 9, 2006 Is anybody going out with thier kids this weekend? I am, my son has a 23 junior tag this weekend and if time permitting we will be stopping by the g+f and Desert Christian Archers camp south of Butcher Hook. I'm really looking forward to this hunt. This is his second big game hunt in 4 months and is really excited. I hope the pigs are still around in my old stomping grounds. Lets hear what everybody else is doing. Dan H Report post Posted February 10, 2006 23 Junior pigs,....Cross Tonto creek and park at the cable car. The mtn or small mesa across to the southeast has a herd of 12 or more. They are bedding on the west side in those green pointed trees that are similar to the palo verde's. South side all the way around to the road that runs to the rock quarry ranchers house is all prickly pear. Thats what they been chowin all Jan. Water there all year too. They have also been down in the flat between a small knoll and the large mesa bedding and feeding too. That small hill to the north (along fence line) is a perfect vantage point. Have fun.
