Senior Pics

Recommended Posts

so i was submitting my senior pictures today and wanted to send in a photo of me with my buck i shot last week. the first one i sent had the buck on my shoulder as i packed him out gutted. there was some blood but not to much. they declined it. so sent in a totally clean pic with me and my dad with the buck looking like he is still alive, they declined that also. they finally accepted one of me and my bird dogs with some birds we got. i understand they need to be sensitive to people who dont want to see the blood but i dont see a problem with the buck laying down like he is alive? maybe since im used to that stuff it means nothing but what does everyone think? is my thinking flawed or not?

It's simply about the area you go you high school.

Inner city districts that consist mainly of faculty and superintendents that

are no longer (or never have been) in touch with the outdoors and the

tradition of hunting. To them, a dead "anything" conveys a

violent act. To them, it's distasteful and well, whoever is making the decision

is taking into consideration the backlash that may come from others

including staff, students, and parents. They don't want nor need any

negative publicity when they are in dire need of funding.

My .02 cents.

For my senior pic, I was able to hold on to a european mount, my buddy did the same with his bull elk, apparently a european mount is less "violent" as showing the animal with flesh on it. Might want to consider that...or even a shoulder mount if you got one.

Maybe because I am getting really old, I read that original post and thought deserthntr was referring to Senior like Social Security, Medicare, etc. Senior. Read responses and realized that he was talking about Senior year of high school. Duh.
