stanley Report post Posted October 12, 2011 My two youngest kids had Jr. tags down South last weekend. The short version of the story is that we didn't kill a deer, but as always we had a great time! LOT'S of does spotted, but no bucks.... As usual, we had an AWESOME time camping and enjoying the time in the desert though! Glassing, hiking, some target shooting, camp fire time, etc.... It was a great trip! One of the best things about the trip is that Carlos (cflores) put a post out a couple of weeks ago looking for potential camping partners for the junior hunt in 36A. After a couple of quick phone calls, we made plans to meet-up and camp together for the hunt. His crew joined my kids and I, plus a buddy and his two children. Well, it turns-out that Carlos, his father (also Carlos), his son CJ (also Carlos! l ), and his daughter (Alissa) were awesome people! We got along great! Carlos's little girl ended-up getting a deer, which was the icing on the cake for a great weekend. Here are a couple of pictures that I took. Get those kids out hunting folks!!! S. Nicholas, Greta, Annie, and Charlie ready on opening morning! Glassing for the deer! No bucks though! Greta's first driving lesson! Annie getting a target shooting lesson from her father (My friend, Spencer) This is Carlos' little girl on Saturday night just after they pulled into camp with the deer that she had killed! Look at that lovely little girl with her first deer!!!! And that SMILE!!! You just can't put a price on THAT folks!! Proud and happy dad (Carlos) with his little girl!!! Alissa, Annie, Greta, Nicholas, Charlie, and CJ around the fire on Saturday night! Awesome memories!!
