cflores Report post Posted October 10, 2011 I had a long story written, and it was deleted somehow. It was a great hunt, a great weekend with some great people! My father, daughter, son and I met up with Stan,Nick,Gretta,Annie,Spencer and Charlie, Tom and Clay. Here is her first deer down at 186 yards. She was very proud of her deer, but not as proud as I was of her. The second picture shows the antlers all cleaned up, after hours of boiling them. On a sad note, the dogs got a hold of them last night and chewed them up. If anybody out there has a set that they would donate,or sell to me I would greatly apprecite it. I would like to find something as close as possible, to place a picture with it on our wall. A mount that she really , really wanted. My heart hurts for her... Thank You. Carlos. 520-241-2893. stanley Report post Posted October 10, 2011 Carlos: It was a true pleasure sharing a camp with you and your crew! I've got some more pics/words from the weekend that I'll post tonight or tomorrow morning. Bummer that her antlers got chewed-up by the dog! So you know though, I shot a forkie on a hunt in Utah 12 years or so ago. The antlers were just a bit larger than your daughter's buck, but that's mainly because they were 'hard horned'...... I think they're hanging on a nail in the garage at the ex's house. Might be a good fit for what you're looking for! More later...... S.
tommat Report post Posted October 10, 2011 Oh no! she worked so hard for her trophy! Thank God for the photos!.....you took a great pic.....get it blown up to an 8 X 10 and give it a place of honor in your home. Almost as nice as a rack. You must have all been very upset. Tell her I KNOW there will be many more racks in her future!
bonecollector Report post Posted October 10, 2011 Congrats to your daughter on her deer! Hopefully you can find someone to help you out with the antlers.

tommat Report post Posted October 10, 2011 Hey anybody out there know a good taxidermist that could repiar the rack? I guess a lot is still intact, just chewed the forks off. Can this be done?
Hunting6 Report post Posted October 10, 2011 What a Great picture of your daughter... that is awesome. yes, you could probably get a good taxidermist to add the points back on based from the picture. it shouldn't be too hard as long as most of the main beam is still there.
